1. What is a renting contract?
A renting or letting contract signed between you and the landlord. It contains information on both parties, renting dates, the deposit, the monthly rent and the way it needs to be paid.
2. Are charges included in the rent?
Yes! Water, electricity and heating consumption, for a "normal" using, are included. In case of excessive consumption, the owners might ask for an extra cost.
3. What is a renting guarantee?
The guarantee aims at covering the damage that could be caused inside the accommodation and any rent that would remain unpaid. Payment is scheduled 2 weeks before your arrival and will be refunded at the end of your stay. The amount equals 4 weeks rent to be paid cash or wired to a bank account (to be determined with the landlord)
4. What is an inventory?
There are actually two inventories: one when you move in and another one when you move out. It is a detailed written description of the accommodation. It lists material at your disposal, the state of walls, ground and ceiling, the bathroom amenities and the set up of all the rooms.
5. What are the interior rules to be respected?
These are rules applying only to your accommodation and set by the landlord in order to insure harmony between the various tenants.
6. May I invite friends to my room or studio?
Every landlord has his own rules. Some accept visits with or without extra costs some do not accept any visit at all (this would normally be part of the description)
7. Is there a curfew?
Normally, there is not.
8. Are linens and towels supplied?
A pair of bed linens is supplied to you upon arrival. Towels supply depend on landlord, please check with him before.
9. Who is cleaning the accommodation?
The accommodation is clean when you move in. It is expected to be clean when you move out. You have to clean the accommodation during your stay.
10. Does the price displayed on the website also apply for 2 persons?
NO! The extra charge for the second person is 120 EUR per 4 weeks.
11. May I extend my reservation contract?
Yes, provided the accommodation is free and the landlord agrees. You have to contact BDLF to extend the contract. No administrative cost will be charged.
